EAGE Student E-Lecture introduces the topic of archaeological geophysics with respect to the physical contrast associated with typical archaeological features and how these may be located and mapped from the surface. Two main techniques are considered, magnetic survey and Ground Penetrating Radar, with a brief introduction to the instrumentation and data processing required. Examples of field data are also presented to illustrate the application of these techniques.
