Goal Definition - Strategy & Vision - Where? We help in defining your values, goals, vision and mission.

Manage life, balancing action, energy and direction - How do you activate your plan, manage your time and your work/life balance? We assist you in establishing habits and building your path toward your vision.

Learn and adjust - Go! We see how to draw new lessons and adjust to overcome hurdles, learning in finding better solutions with others. 

Content 5
Cooperation & Opportunity Creation. We focus on creating new opportunities through synergizing and networking. You will go over the key takeaways and findings, as well as practice your elevator pitch.

About the instructors

Esther Bloem




Esther Bloem

Esther is a geophysicist as well as a life coach, who uses her coaching skills to empower her peers in the field of geosciences. She holds a M.Sc. in Applied Geophysics (cum laude) from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands (2002) and a Ph.D. in EnvironmentalSciences from Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands (2008). Since 2008, she has worked as a research scientist at the Division of Environment and Natural Resources at the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO). Besides this, she is a qualified life coach and currently coaches on mental fitness. She has observed that mental fitness is key for performance and happiness. She is also an active member of the EAGE (Chair of the Near Surface Geoscience Division (NSGD) since 2022, Co-Chair GET2021, Vice-Chair NSGD (2020-2022), Technical Programme Officer NSGD (2017-2020) and near surface representative in the Technical Programme Committee (TPC) since 2017). She believes that the EAGE community is a valuable platform to address and contribute to support the area of mental fitness.


Lucia Levato 

Lucia Levato

Lucia is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited coach and certified in TRIMA approach by competencies. She holds an MSc in Physics from the University of Rome and a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Geneva. Her drive to connect people and activate collaborations helped teams succeed in a variety of situations and settings,including the oil and gas industry, scientific research, technical communication, higher education, in-company training, and mentoring. She founded Lusval in 2017 to foster the emergence of inclusive and collaborative work environments by maximizing the potential of individuals and teams. Lucia is also committed to promoting women in science as well as considering the impact of the energy and environmental transition on geoscientists' career choices. She is also active within the EAGE community: Committee Member at GET2020 and GET2021, co-chair of the session "Solutions and Society at GET 2021, Mentor in the EAGE mentoring program (2018 and 2019), Founding Member and Head of Events of the Local Chapter in Paris (2018-2022).


Gwenola Michaud

Gwenola Michaud

Gwenola is a certified professional coach from Institut de Coaching International of Geneva. She also holds a Master in Geophysics from Ecole et Observatoire de la Terre of Strasbourg and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Colorado School of Mines, sponsored by CGG. She has worked in the Oil and Gas Industry since 1998 on reservoir characterization and surveillance, time-lapse analysis, multi-component borehole data and passive seismic data. She led for Schlumberger several teams and projects in software development and commercialization for passive seismic, electromagnetic, gravity and their integration with seismic data modeling and joint inversion. Since 2020, she is a freelance consultant under Geosciences and Monitoring Consulting, working for Cognite. Member of EAGE since 1998 she is since 2021 Chief Editor of EAGE First Break.
